Decay of Knowledge


The old Charleston County Library sits east of King Street and north of Marion Square/Calhoun Street in downtown Charleston, making it one of the city’s most visible abandoned structures. The building first opened on November 28, 1960 and has sat vacant since February 8, 1998.
